Around Kuala Kubu Bharu.
A historic town north of Batang Kali and an easy half day out from Laman Pok Nik. Most attractions are within walking distance of the town centre.
A town rebuilt in 1928
The original Kuala Kubu stood where Sungai Kubu meets Sungai Selangor. After it was destroyed, the town was rebuilt on higher ground in 1928. The town centre retains its character: shophouses from 1930, a clock tower from 1937 and an art deco cinema building from 1953.
The town is also spelled Kuala Kubu Baharu. Both spellings are in official use.
