The place

Laman Pok Nik

This is family land. Datuk Nik's younger brother lives here, and it is where the family comes to rest, to hold family gatherings, and to be together at Raya.

Today, the family welcomes other families to do the same: to slow down in a kampung setting, with the river at the edge of the grounds and space to rest.

Why the family opened it

It could have remained a private family retreat. The family chose to open it, because a place like this is meant to be shared.

Atmosphere

The setting.

Cool morning air. A shallow river running over stones at the edge of the grounds. Geese, ducks and rabbits that children love to visit. Tall shady trees and plenty of open space.
